$65. Private, scheduled 35 minute time slots. Walk-ins are welcome, but space is limited. Pre-registration is strongly suggested. Payment due at registration.
With the assistance of one of our resident artists, participants will work with molten glass to create a unique and beautiful pint glass. In each session you will learn the basics of working with glass, some of the history of glass blowing, and important safety guidelines.
No experience necessary. Ages 13-18 may participate with parent present. Dress in cotton clothing (no polyester); wear closed shoes and long pants. Pint glass available for pickup 48 hours after class.
$80 for 1 hr. time slot. $40 per 30 min. time slot. (materials included) due at registration. 1 hour time slots will make either a High Carbon Boot Knife (pictured left) an iconic utility blade from antiquity. Learn how to draw out, scroll and forge a basic blade. OR a Railroad Spike Blade (pictured right) - hammer out a blade from a railroad spike and learn the nuances of bladesmithing along the say.
30 minute time slots will make either a Mjolnir Rune Pendant (pictured center left). Forge a Thor Hammer pendant select from a series of runes to chisel into the pendant. OR a Magic Wand (pictured center right). Introduce you to fundamental techniques such as drawing material out, squaring, rounding and twistint. Choose from our different twist samples to make it your own.
Students must wear closed toe shoes (preferably leather), long pants, and cotton clothing, and should bring a lunch.Ages 13-18 may participate with parent/guardian present.
