 racy Kirchmann fell head over heels for glass the first time she opened the furnace door. For the past nine years she has dedicated herself to the pursuit of understanding this medium, which to her is demanding yet  sensitive to its maker. Tracy received a BFA in Sculpture with an emphasis on Glass from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, and is currently pursuing her MFA in Sculpture from Western Carolina University in nearby Cullowhee.
|  Tracy combines a forward-thinking artistic vision with thoughtful craftsmanship to create sculptures and functional objects that explore glass as a versatile and conceptual medium. With roots in both the contemporary fine art and the craft worlds, she embodies the best of both genres in her work. She will teach classes to the public at the GEP to both support her business and to share her love of glassblowing.
